Dennis Publishing Chooses Acxiom to Create a Single Customer View Across its Range of Publications

Created at February 26th, 2015

London, February 16 2015 – Acxiom®, an enterprise data, analytics and software-as-a-service company, today announced that Dennis Publishing, one of the UK’s leading independent media companies, has appointed it to build, manage and host a multi-channel, single customer view (SCV) database, providing its customers with a more tailored and personalised journey across its entire portfolio of titles.

The partnership will see Dennis and Acxiom working to create an insight-driven SCV, integrating online and offline data from over 16 different sources that will enable Dennis to shape its audience journeys across multiple touch-points, delivering a superior customer experience while also ensuring their data is stored in a highly secure, privacy compliant environment.

The solution, which will be designed taking into account the constantly evolving publishing landscape, will provide Dennis the ability to automatically shape a customer’s journey by sending them relevant content at appropriate times, increasing engagement and revenue. This will be enabled by Selligent marketing automation software for which Acxiom is acting as integration partner.

By utilising a centralised solution in a secure and scalable environment, Dennis will be able to efficiently plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across its entire portfolio of consumer and B2B titles, including such brands as The Week, Auto Express, Men’s Fitness and PC Pro.

“We’ve been looking for ways to better interact with our audiences and to enrich their experience with our brands,” said Laura Paterson, Head of Data Marketing at Dennis. “Acxiom’s unique understanding and proven track record of the complex publishing landscape has allowed us to create a solution that was right for our customers and allowed us to build an unparalleled customer data integration and recognition solution, while improving our commercial activities and offer relevant content to our 19 million readers.”

Ian James, European Managing Director at Acxiom, added: “We were excited by Dennis’ ambitious vision to create an advanced single customer view, with the additional opportunities Selligent’s cross-channel marketing automation tool brings to the solution. Data has never offered more power or potential when used ethically, and we feel ideally placed to be Dennis’s strategic partner. Our deep media and publishing experience, leading technology and proven ability to securely manage consumer data will help Dennis deliver the best experience to their customers. We look forward to a long and successful relationship.”
